The terms of using the Platform.
These Terms govern access to the Apna Trustee website and mobile applications, including Relationship Manager calling and chat, and the Secure Digital Vault.

Contents
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of www.apnatrustee.com and the Apna Trustee mobile applications (together, the “Platform”), including the RM voice-over-IP (VOIP) calling and chat features and the Secure Digital Vault. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, the user (“you”, “User”) agrees to be bound by these Terms. Where you are also an enrolled Apna Trustee member, these Terms apply in addition to, and do not replace, your signed Customer Onboarding Agreement (“Membership Agreement”), which governs Service delivery and takes precedence on conflict.
Eligibility & account registration
- 1.1
The Platform is intended for use by persons aged 18 years or older with capacity to contract. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
- 1.2
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- 1.3
Apna Trustee may verify your identity (KYC) before activating certain features, including the Secure Digital Vault and RM calling.
RM voice (VOIP) & chat communications
- 2.1
Nature of service: The Platform enables voice calls (via VOIP) and chat messaging between you and your assigned Relationship Manager. These features depend on your device, internet connectivity and third-party VOIP infrastructure, and are provided on a best-efforts basis without guaranteed uptime, call quality or message delivery.
- 2.2
Not an emergency service: VOIP/chat features are not a substitute for emergency medical, police, or fire services. In a genuine emergency, you must contact local emergency services directly; Apna Trustee's Emergency Medical Concierge (Section 2 of the Membership Agreement) supplements, but does not replace, this obligation.
- 2.3
Call & chat records: Calls and chats may be logged and, where you are notified and consent is obtained, recorded for quality assurance, training, dispute resolution and safety purposes, and handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- 2.4
Acceptable use: You shall not use VOIP or chat features to transmit unlawful, abusive, threatening or fraudulent content, or to request or share Sensitive Credentials (as defined in the Membership Agreement) with your RM.
Secure Digital Vault
- 3.1
Purpose: The Secure Digital Vault allows you to store documents and information for your own reference and, where designated, for disclosure to your Nominees in accordance with Section 8 of the Membership Agreement.
- 3.2
User responsibility: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of content you upload. Apna Trustee does not review Vault content and is not liable for errors, omissions or consequences arising from information you upload or fail to update.
- 3.3
Prohibited content: You shall not upload content that is unlawful, infringes third-party rights, contains malicious code, or that you are not authorised to store or share.
- 3.4
Storage limits: Vault storage is subject to limits disclosed on the Platform and may vary by membership tier. Apna Trustee may archive or restrict access to content exceeding applicable limits, with prior notice where practicable.
- 3.5
No guarantee against loss: While the Vault is protected by the security measures described in the Privacy Policy, Apna Trustee does not warrant against all possible loss, corruption or unauthorised access, and recommends you retain independent copies of critical documents.
Acceptable use of the Platform
- 4.1
You shall not: (a) impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or another user's account or data; (c) reverse-engineer, decompile or scrape the Platform; (d) upload viruses or malicious code; or (e) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
- 4.2
Apna Trustee may suspend or terminate access for any breach of this Section, without prejudice to other remedies available under the Membership Agreement.
Intellectual property
- 5.1
The Platform, including its software, design, trademarks and content (excluding User-uploaded content), is owned by or licensed to Apna Trustee. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for its intended personal purpose.
- 5.2
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Vault or share via chat, and grant Apna Trustee a limited licence to host, store and process it solely to provide the Services.
Third-party services & app stores
- 6.1
The Platform relies on third-party infrastructure, including VOIP and cloud-hosting providers, and mobile app stores (e.g. Apple App Store, Google Play). Use of the mobile application is additionally subject to the applicable app store's terms of service.
- 6.2
Apna Trustee is not liable for the availability, performance or acts of third-party infrastructure or app store providers, consistent with Section 2.2 of the Membership Agreement (Independent Contractors).
Availability & modifications
- 7.1
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. Apna Trustee does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may suspend access for maintenance, security or operational reasons, with notice where practicable.
- 7.2
Apna Trustee may modify, add to or discontinue Platform features at its discretion, with reasonable notice for material changes affecting active memberships.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
- 8.1
As-is basis: The Platform, VOIP/chat features and Secure Digital Vault are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose, except as expressly stated in the Membership Agreement.
- 8.2
Liability cap & exclusions: Apna Trustee's liability arising from use of the Platform is subject to the liability cap, exclusion of consequential loss, and indemnity provisions set out in Section 11 of the Membership Agreement, which apply equally to Platform use.
Suspension & termination
- 9.1
Apna Trustee may suspend or terminate your Platform access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, security risk, or non-payment, in addition to any rights under the Membership Agreement.
- 9.2
You may deactivate your account at any time by written request; Vault data will be handled per the data retention terms in the Privacy Policy and Section 9.2 of the Membership Agreement.
Governing law & grievance redressal
- 10.1
These Terms are governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India.

Changes to these terms
- 11.1
Apna Trustee may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date below will be revised accordingly. Material changes will be notified via the Platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
